The Whelen 900 Series Surface Mount Scenelight is purpose-built to broadcast high-intensity illumination down and away from your vehicle, delivering up to three times the effective performance of competitive scene lights. With a rugged die-cast housing and low-profile form factor, it mounts directly to vehicle surfaces without requiring cut-outs, making installation simpler and cleaner.
Equipped with 24 high-output Super-LEDs®, the 900 Series uses a patent-pending internal and external optic design to create a smooth, evenly distributed beam. This eliminates the need for angle brackets and ensures functional, shadow-free lighting in every scene.
Unlike HID lighting, Whelen’s Super-LEDs® deliver brighter color temperatures, instant-on activation, and low operating temperatures. They eliminate costly bulb and ballast replacements while providing long-term, energy-efficient performance for heavy-duty fleets.
Featuring a conformal-coated internal electronics package, the 900 Series is designed to withstand vibration, moisture, and temperature extremes. It draws just 6 amps at 12.8V DC, produces no high-voltage spikes on startup, and operates at lower temps for extended service life. Certified to AMD Standard 024 for perimeter illumination, it’s a proven choice for fire apparatus, ambulances, and specialty fleet vehicles.
